Arizona Kickball Open on September 15th! Be there or be square. Here’s the complete roster of the “random no-name team out of vb” - Jim Craig, Steve Janaszak, Bill Baker, Dave Christian, Ken Morrow, Mike Ramsey, Bob Suter, Mike Eruzione, John Harrington, Mark Johnson, Rob McClanahan, Mark Pavelich, Buzz Schneider, Dave Silk, Eric Strobel, Phil Verchota and Mark Wells. The Scorekeeper wrote:some random no-name team out of vb got a fluke win over the best team in kickball and they may have either gotten too much credit for the win, or not enough, depending on who you ask.

And thanks for including our period! The Scorekeeper wrote:a team from colorado that's not named dice. took on two or three randoms and won a tournament. everyone gave the credit to dice. anyway. that team is now attending another tournament, and people finally know the name catalina wine mixers.
Tropics suck. They still owe me $25.The Scorekeeper wrote:tropics still hate us. also, apparently they aren't very good at mailing stuff that has been purchased. either that or the mail service sucks between colorado and tennessee.

apparently nysh vs deja vu somehow became a racist thing according to the people that don't play kickball. all the rest of us thought that was about the most ludicrous thing we'd ever heard.
bryan played most of the atl tournament in a speedo because i wasn't there to stop him.
zak stepped down as a mod because he now works for waka.
there's a girl in atl that HAAAAAATES brick. with the fiery hot passion of a thousand suns. everyone thought she was with panik, but was apparently from another atl team. she apologized later for her heckling and poor manners.
you can still hear erika glaubke on camera.
jc kicks bombs. don't forget it.
vbko will be a 1-bounce tourney. some teams are totally stoked. hw might come out of retirement. flying v thinks it's a terrible idea and doesn't want to go. krabbas thinks it's a terrible idea too, but is still taking a team because, well it'd be silly to skip the tournament in your back yard.
both panik and situation now have players named "scott" and there was some major confusion over that point.
the new panik jerseys got mixed reactions. pounders and situation look very similar on a blurry camera feed.

tom green(e?) came out to the meet & greet in jax dressed as an ape version of captain jack sparrow, and the after party dressed as super mario. he now wants to hire me to make him more costumes because he saw a picture of bryan playing kickball dressed as sabretooth. i also finally met horses and whateverheistoday.
i got new cleats and i'm marginally less slow now.
btaylor moved from florida to charlotte, discovered it sucks and he doesn't have the job he thought he was moving there for, is moving to vegas to hang out with mcnugget, and can't wait to move back to florida.
meatball kevin has dumps. or takes dumps. the over/under in jax was 2.5. he was over, and wants to make sure people on the live stream knows that, even though he didn't realize until 3 events later that we actually have a live stream at every event.
teams other than panik attack and meatballs have won tournaments, but only when panik attack and meatballs weren't there (except jax and atl), and members of panik attack and meatballs want me to make sure i put the emphasis on the fact that other teams won only because panik attack and meatballs weren't there. or they were having a bad day. or they were working with new players. or they had a lot of injuries. or the wind was blowing the wrong way on their field. whatever the reason was, it had absolutely nothing to do with panik attack or meatballs being any less awesome or "ahead of the rest of the pack" than they were last year.
we started a thread on kickball myths and it was hysterical (to me).
weddings, injuries, and babies are still ruining kickball.
rick darm and his wife also had a baby boy earlier this year, and was finally cleared to ref a tourney in harrisburg. collectively we all heaved a sigh of relief to see the kilted ref behind home plate again.
did you hear ricky flies? it was kindof a thing.
dematas is not retired and plans on hitting at least 11 tournaments this year. also, marlene is a saint.
my sis attended her first kickball event and thought it was awesome. she'll be in virginia beach.
a team from colorado that's not named dice. took on two or three randoms and won a tournament. everyone gave the credit to dice. anyway. that team is now attending another tournament, and people finally know the name catalina wine mixers.
festa writes an awesome gmot, even if he is biased.
there is video evidence that i actually do play kickball. i don't just stand around on the sidelines cheering and keeping score.
there was something else i was going to say and i totally don't remember right now...
oh, right. crossfit.

There's still time to talk to the folks running the tournament. Hopefully the majority will get the tournament they want in VB. Can we put it to a vote?

We vote for 2 bounce. I'll guarantee a team for 2 bouncies, but will take our talents to Boston otherwise.

They're incredibly boring to watch too. Who cares who the elite players are, we already know about them.
Has there ever been a one bounce, three foul event? Should make for a ton of foul outs.
That said, it's cool that they're doing it for one event, adds a variable.

That right there sounds like one bounce games would kinda suck. I'd be willing to give it a go, but if you think the best OBP guys are going to foul out almost every time, it seems like the rest of the team would fall in the same category. Seems more like a flukey style of play than a substantial one.
Any old video of one bounce competitive games?
