Va Dominion Summer division's almost here

Summer division games start next Wed/Thursday. Right now it looks like we've got 12 teams over both nights. FWB is returning with almost exactly the same roster, picking up two new members, losing two old ones. KA is not playing in the summer division, however, most of their players are joining a team, TBD. Blazers split into two squads, one on Wednesdays called Jager Bombs, and one on Thursdays called Team Awesome. Both teams will be solid as TA picked up a former Gonzo and a few other experienced kickballers. JB is a team of Allstars that will challenge for the Wednesday night crown. Ballbusters are slimmed down and look to improve, 123 Not It! changed their name to Ahh Damn, and have also slimmed down to make a stronger push. Fannie Kickers return with a season under their belts, they have also cut the fat and picked up a few other quality athletes. Demons of Destiny return but move to Wednesdays and will likely be in the top 3 of the night come season's end. the other 3 teams are new to the division, but have kickball experience, except maybe one, not completely sure. It's gonna be another good season, with some quality competitive kickball...

Technically Troy, the Blazers split up by 1 person. The majority of the Blazers are on TA with what we'll call 3 solid Gym Class All-Star recruits.

I heard a rumor, Gonzo is thinking of joining the VA Dominion Summer division. If they join, I think Dominion's got it's elite status back up to the top of the crop.

Well, the qualifying period for next year's tourney starts July 7th... Maybe all can be represented in 2009.

I don't know... that LKP team had this one guy who could spike a ball off people's heads like nobody I've ever seen. Tremendous form and balance, and a great follow-through. That guy was legendary.

He doesn't play for Team Awesome, but he will be playing in the division.

Rumor confirmed. Gonzo just registered for the VA Dominion summer division. Now this has to be the toughest division in the country. If you finish in the top 4, then you deserve to be ranked.

TBD (fomerly Kick Asphalts)
Oznog (formerly Gonzo)
Friends with Benefits
Team Awesome (formerly mostly Blazers, added a handful of GCAS)
Jager Bombs (A Blazer, top Tall Bicklers, top Kickball Busters)

then a pack of experienced teams and 2 rookie teams.

Yep, soldier down! It was a freaking blast, and we turned it out all weekend last weekend partying it up! The guy who ran the resort said he has never seen so many people drink that hard and keep their composure! LOL! We had 75 people and the caterer said we brought enough liquor for 200 people, and we drank almost all of it about 3/4. I had to go to bed early that night with the new bride, so I had to walk away from the rest, but it had to be done!

Schedule is being worked on now.

I just realized that regular season champion will probably not be coming out of Thursday night for the first time ever. It'll be hard to go undefeated on Thursday, let alone avoid giving up less than 10 runs this season. Both KA and FWB gave up 6 this past season and the division looks to be tougher this time around. Thursday night will have to perform well in the tournament to earn a bid.

Our team is "Scared Kickless" FYI. I am looking forward to the competition and preparing for Vegas, other then that, I could careless. It justs sucks we can't play out extra innings in the regular season.
