I wonder if there will be any teams that put a deposit and then not be able to make the tourney. I like to call that, "The Jellydog"

I wonder if there will be a sure fire team that doesn't get selected (i.e., LIU, Ramrod, WTK, Meatballs, etc). I predict a lot of salt on 8/17

My gut feeling is that RA and RS won't be the primary focus for invitations.

What will then? My guess is tourney winners, depending on how many there are. If there are 64 or more, then they will take the RA and RS to determine.

How many WAKA leagues are there? A lot more than 64, each one has a winner.

I believe location will be more of a factor then runs for or against. WAKA left the "qualifying/selection" requirements very vague.

I think their first priority will be to select who they believe are the best teams, representative from across the country. They want the best, but they also want to make sure they have a good mix of teams from all over, not just FL, DC, and NY. That could potentially suck for some east coast teams, but WAKA is a business, and that would help drum up business in their emerging markets.
I also think a team's desire to go to Vegas will play into it. They want to invite teams who will accept. It won't help their marketing campaign to portray FC as being the "in-demand" national kickball championship if they have to keep sending out invites, and get rejected by teams who can't/don't want to go.
RA/RS will probably only be a factor for "bubble" teams or in where invited teams will be seeded.

Why invite more teams from an area that is already WAKA dominate.

I feel like that happened in 2008, a bunch of CA teams who won their division or whatever and figured, hey, let's go to Vegas, we are really good. And then after they realized they weren't that good on the competitive kickball scale. So then after all the complaining and whatever, waka decided to do the fun tourney, which I think is a great idea. The competitive teams do not want to play the social teams and vice versa.
