Well, Panik is coming off of a huge tie in NYC so they may have the momentum.

Jki would be a top 3 of my picks too

Panik Attack is the only roster team with tourney experience this year! So they have a huge advantage! :HW:

It will be a shock if we can win since we don't have a P w/ any tournament experience or even season tournament experience after my injury but we should still be pretty solid our depth will just hurt us ultimately

Meatballs is the obvious choice but I have a feeling it will be a team out West.

*For the record, I have nothing to base this off.

Who can compete with the Meatballs roster?

Flades - Best Charger in the Country
Corey - Best Pitcher in the Country
DP - Best Utility player in the Country
MK - Top backup Pitcher in the Country
BK - Top 2-3 Catcher in the Country
MJ - Top leadoff in the Country

Plus they've won every tournament they've entered this year with this lineup. This, my friends, is a battle for 2nd place.

There will be at least 2 West Coast teams in the semis and at least 1 AZ team in the top 8.

I would say there are 3 favorites to win this thing (Meatballs, JKI and Panik Attack) with the Meatballs being the favorite of the 3. Besides that, there are a handful of other teams that are contenders. Word is that some teams that normally would be threats (and remain unmentioned), may not be at full strength. We'll see...

I'd say that Your Balls Are Foul has to be considered as one of the "contenders" also. That team is essentially the same team that made the finals last year. I know they haven't traveled like the East Coast teams, but if they are the same team as last year, they will be a very tough team to beat.

I agree, I mean they had to have done something right to be last years runner-up unless you have information that a bunch of them left not putting them as a favorite seems silly

I would say that Relax doesn't have the endurance to win the tourney. They have the talent, but from what I saw in South Florida, if/when they reach their 6th game, they won't be able to walk anymore due to being 3 bottles of Vodka deep and who knows how many beers. :HW:

I wasn't there last year, but judging from what I saw from the video on youtube from last year's championship game, I just don't see them as having what it takes to beat a team like Meatballs, JKI or Panik Attack... wasn't all that impressed with the 3B/C combo TBO.

They are/were good. I mean it was our first real test and we've gotten way better but they controlled the game against us pretty well. We didn't play well but they deserve a lot of credit. I think they should be up there without a doubt.

And that is what we like about you guys! Definitely the fan favorite.

We do the same. We had 2 big games last week for our kickball league that was going to have a huge factor who will be in the standings. Some key players went to happy hour and "enjoyed" ourselves before the games Relax Style!

You really think they can beat any of the 3 teams I mentioned above?!? I just don't see it from what I saw on video. The Meatballs have improved significantly from last year, JKI wasn't at last year's FC, and Panik is a new team that is very tough to beat.

They made it to the finals, so they must have some talent. If they took what they saw from the good teams they faced last year and upgraded in the off season. Don't sleep on them. Plus this is kickball. To play perfect ball for 8 games is very tough and come finals when everyone is tired, Mistakes could happen and a team can sneak out a win.

Hmmm, this changes lots of things.

After looking at the last few years, I'm just guessing from the division names that we keep seeing since I've no idea on the west coast teams, but these seem to be representatives of common top divisions in the nation.

the quarter finals, unless some crazy shit happens, will probably be (in no particular order)
Meatballs
JKI
RR
Panic Attack
OSC
Fully Loaded
LIU
WTK
The Situation
IB
Relax and Let It Happen
5th Year Srs
Straight to the Bank
Balls Deeper (FL)
Playground Posse
Rubber Balls and Liquor

Again, this is just a guess based on the divisions we've seen do pretty well in the past.

Well from what I hear, that's exactly how they even made it to the Finals. You're right... mistakes do happen and it is a LONG day so you never know. I just wouldn't put my money on them as one of the Favorites to win this thing. Contender definitly...

They are very short some great players and are going to just go. So don't count on them making it out of pool play. In fact, AZ_Lurker is already planning on going straight from Pool play to the "Fun" games!

There are a dozen teams that can beat any of those teams, and YBAF is one of them. Are they as talented as that trio? No, but they are still a very good team.
