2010 NY Star Charity Date Auction

This season's auction will go like this:

Lisa Lee and Caroline (that's me) will be Emceeing - we will have some sort of device to project our voices (Boss Tweeds got rid of their mic) and we will be loud as hell!

The order of the dates will be posted tonight - on fb, on this here page, and hopefully in a lovely pdf doc. There will also be a poster board at the games tomorrow with all the dates in order.

You will be able to pay with cash, check (made out to Joyful Heart Foundation) or CREDIT CARD! This is a new feature and I hope you all love it!

All Date Purchases are tax deductible! If your company provides Matching Gifts - talk to Caroline (again, that's me) and that amount will also go towards your team's total for the Philanthropy Award. As a reminder - that award comes with a prize of a $100 bar tab at the bar of the winning teams choosing (or choice... grammar police?)

If someone who does not play for WAKA NY Star wins a date - that total will be added to the team of the person up for auction.

That's right - if your team is the most Philanthropic this season - you get free BOOZE!

We had one a couple years ago. I ended up naked, standing on a kegerator, with EddieMac throwing beers all over me. I almost got kicked out of the bar in the middle of the bidding. I raised $175 and never went on the date. The girl that bought me called me the next day and said, "You were making out with another girl that was in the auction. Do you want to take her on the date?" I said, no. She asked me to reimburse her $175 in exchange for the $40 gift card to Chillis. I again declined.
