For those interested, the Meet & Greet will be held at the Aroogas in Downtown Harrisburg.
201 North 2nd Street Harrisburg
http://www.aroogas.com/

They have around 100 beers, plus wine and sangria, on tap. If you want to grab a bite to eat I definitely recommend the wings. There will be a game on wherever you look (hopefully some kickball vids running too) and is a short walk from the hotel.

The after party is at Ceoltas.
310 North 2nd Street
http://www.ceoltasirishpub.com/

We will have the entire 2nd floor to ourselves with beer pong, flip cup and dj. Not sure what the drink specials are yet but car bombs are their specialty. The 3rd floor is called The Thatch and is an open air sky bar and the bottom floor is where it gets wild.

Some nice places to eat are Duke's Riverside, Dockside Willies, or Rock Bass Grille. They all are on the other side (West Shore) of the Susquehanna River and have great deck seating along the river. They have great views of the city, hotel, and the Island. You can get some photo opps of Metro Bank Park on the Island- which is where Steven Strasburg and Bryce Harper played before joining the Nationals.
Whatever, lets go!

Do you want to walk or drive to dinner?

What type of food are you looking for?

Good BBQ - MoMo's
Mexican - El Sol
Wings - Zembies/Midtown Tavern
Best hoagies - Sandwichman (more of a take out)
Fast (quality) food - Pita Pit
Pub Food - Molly Branigans/McGraths
Specialty Pizza/Salads - Pizza Grille (BYOB)
Outdoor Seating - Brewhouse/Flinchy's

The only places you would have to drive to are the Pizza Grille, Brewhouse, and Flinchy's.

Definitely. Downtown Hbg has a couple really good options.

Stocks on 2nd (a bit of an older crowd)
Cafe Fresco
Bricco
Zia's Red Door
Home 231
Hilton Restaurants
El Sol also has nice dining but not as much as the ones above

All are walking distance from the hotel.

I've eaten at Flinchy's and the Pizza Grille when I lived in Camp Hill. You can't go wrong with either. Hit the grille if you want a laid back night to carb up, the food is great.

If I remember correctly, Flinchy's has a big outside seating area where you could pry reserve a table for team dinner.

I know there are two spots for the Appalachian Brewing Company in the area as well. One on the pike and one on Cameron Street. Not sure if you're into driving, or drinking the night before, but it's a good food and well, obviously beer.

The walk is almost exactly 1 mile. You just have to cross a bridge.

Thanks gents! we are just looking for a place to have a fine dinner, start a birthday celebration, and load up before we just go apeshit on Harrisburg. Yknow, show a little class before we throw that away at the party.

I like where your head's at Chris, except for the being classy part. I like to start low brow and get worse.
