Circuit Scoring Formula (v.2012)

Registered Circuit Team CSS Score = Total Attendance Points + Total Quality Points (PP) + Total Quality Points (E) + Total Elimination Bonus Points + Total Strength of Event Points

The Circuit Scoring System (CSS) is used to establish the seedings of eligible competitive adult kickball teams for The Circuit Cup Championship.

The Highest Team Point Total in the CSS will be declared The Circuit National Tour Scoring Champion. The top qualified teams will be invited to the Circuit Cup Championship in the Fall.

The CSS Formula was last updated by the Rules Committee on December 28, 2011.

Teams have thirty (30) days to officially register (i.e., 8 players min. registered) with The Circuit after attending an open Circuit Event on the National Tour.

Quality Points (Earned During Pool Play)
20 points = for Win
10 points = for Tie

There is no max a team can earn regarding the amount of Quality Points (PP) per Circuit Event.

Quality Points (Earned During Elimination)
750 points = 1st Place
500 points = 2nd Place
250 points = Reach Semifinals
100 points = Reach Quarterfinals

Elimination Bonus (Earned During Elimination)
100 points = Rewarded for advancing to the Elimination Round

All Registered Circuit Teams advancing out of Pool Play will earn the Elimination Bonus in addition to the Quality Points (PP) earned
Note, if all Teams automatically advance out of Pool Play then no Elimination Bonus will be awarded.

Strength of Event (SOE) Score
Means ((Total # of Registered Circuit Teams at Event)*5) + (Total # of Teams at Event))

Note, the SOE score will be scored immediately following the event. If a team registers within the thirty (30) days after the attended event, then the SOE score for that event will be adjusted.

Example:
#SouthFlorida Kickball Open has 12 Registered Circuit Teams of the 32 teams attending. The SOE for the #SouthFlorida Event would be result in 92 points. This is the result of ((12*5)+32).
